Filmmakers and broadcast journalists can compete in this festival.
The Northern Character International TV and Film Festival is organized with support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with the goal of uniting journalists and filmmakers of the Northern countries. The event will take place Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 in Murmansk, Russia.
The theme is the North's attraction: How does the North attract people and become their home for the whole life? Who or what keeps people in the North in severe climate conditions?
Contest categories include documentaries, TV programs, program/film about culture and more. The winners will be awarded diplomas. Entries must have been produced between 2016 and 2018.
Films and programs must include English subtitles.
The deadline is Sept. 15.
