APME organizes news train workshop [US]

Jourmalism professionals, academics and students can attend a two-day event in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Associated Press Media Editors (APME) is organizing the News Train workshop on Sept. 7 and 8. This national touring workshop is designed to provide journalism training at an affordable cost.
Topics include storytelling on mobile; maximizing and measuring social media for branding and audience engagement; data-driven enterprise off your beat becoming a verification ninja; social media as powerful reporting tools; and more.
Registration is ongoing. Register by Aug. 7 to pay US$75, including breakfast and lunch. The first 20 registrants will receive a free AP Stylebook. Regular registration costs US$85.
A limited number of diversity scholarships to cover the registration fee is available to participants of color. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is July 27.
