The Calvert Journal accepting photo entries [Eastern Europe, Central Asia]

Amateur and professional photographers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are eligible.
The Calvert 22 Foundation and The Calvert Journal are accepting entries for the New East Photo Prize, which aims to reward outstanding projects that offer an insightful, contemporary perspective on people and countries in the region.
Entries must comprise projects (or series of images) in any style or genre, including portrait, landscape, documentary or contemporary art and architecture that were made within the last two years.
The New East Photo Prize winner will receive a cash prize of GBP1,000 (US$1,351) and will have his or her project showcased in a special exhibition at Calvert 22 Foundation in London.
Additionally, two prizes will be awarded: the Fabrika Travel Photography Prize – featuring a five-day trip to Georgia – and the Metro Imagining Mentorship Award – whose winner will be fully supported over a 12-month period and receive GBP1,000 credit with Metro Imaging.
