FNPI organizes journalism contest [Americas, Spain, Portugal]

Journalists from the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula with works in Spanish and Portuguese can compete in this contest.
Organized by the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Ibero-American Journalism (FNPI), the contest seeks to reward excellence, innovation and ethics consistency in journalism.
Journalists can compete in four categories: feature, images (including photography, video andvisualizations), news coverage and innovation. FNPI will also give a special award for journalistic excellence and to an exemplary Colombian editor.
The winners in each category will receive a diploma and COP33,000,000 (US$11,590). Both winners and finalists will be invited to travel to Medellín, Colombia, with all expenses covered, to participate in the awards ceremony.
The deadline to apply is May 24.
