The Ferret organizes storytelling, mentoring training [UK]

Aspiring investigative journalists can apply for a three-month training and mentoring program.
Investigative journalism platform The Ferret and the Centre for Investigative Journalism are organizing Story Lab at weekends in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland. Tentative dates are April 21 and 22, May 13 and June 6, 7 and 17.
Participants will learn inspiring examples of storytelling and reportage, how to submit Freedom of Information requests, find and scrutinize public and online data and records, as well as tools and techniques to tell their story in an effective and captivating way.
Applicants from marginalized backgrounds and those who have been unable to access traditional journalism training due to circumstance are encouraged to apply.
Registration costs GBP75 for the general public and GBP48 for Ferret members. There are some free places for participants from marginalized communities.
The deadline is March 23.
