NPF offers fellowship on opioid crisis [US]

Journalists interested in the latest data and research on the opioid crisis can apply for this program.
The National Press Foundation, in partnership with the American Society of Addiction Medicine, is accepting applicants for a fellowship to attend "Deep dive into opioids reporting" April 10 to 15 in San Diego, California.
The program starts with three days of training on the science of addiction; public attitudes about and understanding of the disease; the latest treatment recommendations; trends in substance use; public policy debates; and more. Participants will then cover the American Society of Addiction Medicine Annual Conference.
The fellowship covers airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs and most meals.
The deadline is Feb. 21.
