World Press Photo competition seeks entries [Worldwide]

Professional visual journalists can submit digital projects to a contest.
The World Press Photo Multimedia Contest seeks entries that include professional photography in combination with, but not limited to, audio and visual elements like video, animation, graphics, illustrations, sound or text.
The photo contest has eight categories: general news, spot news, contemporary issues, environment, people, nature, sports and long-term projects. The digital storytelling contest has four categories: immersive storytelling, innovative storytelling, long form and short form.
Winners will travel to Amsterdam to receive their prize during the World Press Photo Festival. The winner of World Press Photo of the Year will also receive EUR10,000 (US$11,813).
Entries must have been published in 2017 in English or with English subtitles.
The deadline is Jan. 4, 2018.
