National Geographic hosts photographer of the year Contest [Worldwide]

Photographers can enter a contest to win cash prizes.

National Geographic is accepting entries for its 2017 Nature Photography of the Year contest in four categories: wildlife, landscapes, aerials and underwater.

The winner in each category will receive US$2,500, and his or her winning photograph will be published in National Geographic magazine. The grand prize winner will also receive US$7,500.

Contestants must be residents of the United States, its territories (excluding Puerto Rico) and the District of Columbia, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada (excluding Quebec), China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan or the United Kingdom. 

The deadline is Nov. 17. There is a US$15 entry fee per photo.
