The Watson Foundation organizes the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, a one-year grant for purposeful, independent exploration outside the United States.
Projects should involve travel to places where applicants have not lived or studied for a significant length of time (more than four weeks).
Fellows receive US$30,000, health insurance and the equivalent of 12 months of payments on outstanding institutional and federally guaranteed (Perkins, Stafford) loans.
The national selection process begins in November. To find out about your college deadline, contact a Watson campus advisor listed here.
