The 3i Festival - Innovative, Inspiring and Independent Journalism will take place Nov. 11 and 12 in Rio de Janeiro. The festival is organized by Agência Lupa, Agência Pública, BRIO, JOTA, Nexo, Nova Escola, Ponte Jornalismo, Repórter Brasil and Google News Lab.
The program will cover topics such as independent financing and sustainability, business models, technology applied to journalism, polarization in social media and fact-checking, and more.
Special guests include The Intercept's Glenn Greenwald; Cross Check's Claire Wardle; Politifact's Angie Holan; Malo Pasos' José Luis Pardo; Nómada's Martin Pellece; and Chicas Poderoras' Mariana Santos.
Participants will also present their journalism projects on the last day of the festival.
