The Africa-China Reporting Project at Wits Journalism is organizing the Africa-China Reporting Workshop and Fieldwork Project Nov. 7 to 20 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The workshop will consist of two stages: training and skills development workshop, and the fieldwork project. Five African and five Chinese journalists will be paired in five teams based on their proposals to undertake an Africa-China reporting investigation.
The suggested proposal themes are industrialization and development; business, the economy and trade; agriculture and food security; the environment; culture, language and education.
Participants will receive airfare, accomodations and reporting stipends.
The deadline is Sept. 29.
