The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering the free course “Intro to immersive journalism: virtual reality and 360° video" Oct. 2 to Nov. 5
The course will provide an introduction to the virtual reality as it applies to nonfiction storytelling and journalism, ranging from content creation to content consumption.
Participants will explore the quickly changing landscape of immersive journalism, current VR journalism experiences, the diverse hardware/software to produce experiences and ethical questions.
The instructor is Robert Hernandez, a veteran of digital journalism who teaches at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School.
