Training focuses on extractive industries reporting [Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea]

Image result for thomas reuters foundationJournalists interested in covering the extractive industries can apply for workshops in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and in Conakry, Guinea. 
The Thomson Reuters Foundation, in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), is organizing workshops Sept. 27 to 29, as part of its extractive reporting program. 
The program seeks to build the capacity of media in Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea to cover the mining and other extractive industries.
Selected participants will also editorial support and a small reporting grant. 
The deadline is Aug. 17.
