Society of Environmental Journalists offers grants [Worldwide]

Image result for Society of Environmental JournalistsJournalists can apply for grants of up to US$5,000 to support environmental reporting in North America.
The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) awards grants to provide incentives and support to journalists who are building an environmental platform and are struggling financially to complete the project.
Journalism projects can cover an open topic on environmental issues; marine and coastal issues of the North Pacific and Arctic Oceans; or environmental issues of the Amazon and Andes.
The funds should serve to cover project-related travel, training, research materials, environmental testing and other direct expenses that pertain to the completion of the project.
Both SEJ members and non-members are able to apply for the grants, as long as their work is within the journalism field. Non-members must pay a US$40 application fee.
The deadline is Nov. 15.
