Knight Center offers online course on crafting data stories [Worldwide]

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is hosting the Big Online Course (BOC) "Crafting data stories: a hands-on, step-by-step workshop building real data narratives."
The course will be taught from Sept. 18 to Oct. 29 by Heather Krause, founder and principal data scientist of Datassist
Participants will learn how to build a draft of a data story; develop a data frame of mind; find a dataset that can answer a relevant question; understand their dataset; conduct a beginning analysis of the dataset; and more.
Although this course is at a beginner level, students are expected to have basic working knowledge of and access to Excel, Tableau or R.
Registration costs US$95 and is ongoing, but spots are limited.
