EU journalism contest seeks entries [Georgia]

The EU Prize for Journalism recognizes the work of journalists who have demonstrated integrity and professionalism in Georgia.
Entries can be submitted for one of the following categories: written story in print or online media; audio or audiovisual story in broadcast or online media; written investigative story in print or online news media; investigative audio or audiovisual story in broadcast or online news media; online or print blog; and documentary photo. Also, the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) Peace Journalism Prize will be awarded separately to the best article in print, audiovisual or online media.
Works must have been published, broadcast or posted between Nov. 19, 2016 and Oct. 31, 2017. Entries must be in Georgian, Russian or English. Entries for the EUMM Special Prize for the Peace Journalism category may also be submitted in Abkhaz and Ossetian.
The winner of each category will receive EUR1,250. The winner of the EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism will win a voucher worth EUR5,000 to participate in a fellowship program at the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in London.
The deadline is Nov. 1.
