Local news outlets across the United States with projects that include collaboration with technologists can apply for funding.
The Center for Cooperative Media, with support from the Rita Allen Foundation, has launched an open funding call for collaborative reporting projects.
Proposals must be highly collaborative, featuring two or more independent organizations; have a publication/broadcast timeline within the next year; aim to produce some kind of demonstrable community impact; and specify a clear and actionable content dissemination plan. Preference will be given to projects that include audience engagement components.
Three reporting projects will win a US$7,000 grant.
The deadline is June 30.
