Contest for agricultural reporting open [Latin America, Caribbean]

Journalists and students who cover agribusiness can compete for the 2017 Massey Ferguson Journalism Awards.
The contest aims to promote the coverage of issues related to the rural sector and Brazilian agriculture, focusing on matters that interfere directly or indirectly with the economic development of society.
Works must have been published or broadcast between July 10, 2016 and Sept. 4, 2017 in Portuguese, Spanish or English.
The competition will distribute more than BRL80,000 (US$24,356) in seven categories: newspaper, magazine, multimedia, television, photojournalism, students, and Central/South America and Caribbean.
Winners of the Central/South America and Caribbean category will receive a trip to Bahia, Brazil.
Massey Ferguson is a division of the U.S.-based AGCO corporation and sells farming equipment, products and services in 140 countries, including Brazil.
The submission deadline is Sept. 4.
