Climate change conference offers travel scholarships [Pacific]

Image result for Conference of PartiesJournalists can apply for an all-expenses-paid trip to report from this year’s Conference of Parties (COP 23) in Nov. 6 to 17 in Bonn, Germany.
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), with the support from the German Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is organizing a journalism competition for Pacific island journalists.
The competition will select 10 journalists to attend COP 23 and a media training at DW Akademie.
Candidates must be from the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, East Timor, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu or Vanuatu.
The deadline to apply is June 15.
