Knight Center hosts MOOC on immersive journalism [Worldwide]

Journalists and others interested in virtual reality can participate in this course
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering the free course “Intro to immersive journalism: virtual reality and 360° video" March 6 to April 9.
The course will provide an introduction to the virtual reality as it applies to nonfiction storytelling and journalism, ranging from content creation to content consumption. Participants will explore the quickly changing landscape of this emerging technology, reviewing current VR Journalism experiences available; look at the diverse hardware/software to produce experiences; and examine ethical questions.
The instructor is Robert Hernandez, a veteran of digital journalism who teaches advanced multimedia storytelling, augmented reality journalism and more at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School.
