Journalists interested in health and environmental reporting are invited to attend this free program.The Center for Health Journalism at the University of Southern California will host the webinar "Toxic cities: telling big stories on hidden risks" at 1 p.m. EDT on June 6.
The hourlong webinar will focus on innovative reporting and testing strategies that can result in urgent, high-impact stories.
The panelists are Wendy Ruderman, investigative reporter for Philadelphia Daily News and Philadelphia Inquirer; and Barbara Laker, also investigative Reporter for Philly Inquirer/Daily News. They co-authored the series “Toxic City,” which exposed the dangers to children in Philadelphia of toxins in their homes, neighborhoods and schools.
